OTOKAR, Türkiye's largest privately owned defense industry company, has submitted its latest bid for the mass production of the ALTAY tank, for which it is the main contractor, at the request of the Undersecretariat of Defense Industry.
OTOKAR General Manager Serdar Görgüç said, “Following our initial offer in January, we submitted our final offer today at the request of the Undersecretariat. As a manufacturer with 100% domestic capital for the national main battle tank, we are ready for this task with our human resources, experience, knowledge, and technology.”.
OTOKAR, Türkiye's land systems manufacturer, has submitted its final bid for the serial production of the ALTAY main battle tank, following a request from the Undersecretariat of Defense Industry. OTOKAR, acting as the main contractor in the project, had previously submitted its initial serial production bid for the ALTAY tank to the Undersecretariat of Defense Industry in January, upon invitation. This final bid from OTOKAR covers the serial production of 250 ALTAY tanks and their integrated logistics support activities. The aim of this bid is to initiate serial production of the ALTAY tank, equipped with state-of-the-art subsystems, without delay and to ensure that these modern main battle tanks enter the Turkish Armed Forces' inventory as soon as possible.
