At the İSKON 2016 Fair held in Konya, the tracked unmanned ground vehicle “ANKEBOT”, developed and manufactured by Elfatek Elektronik, attracted great interest from the press and visitors.
Elfatek Elektronik Company Chairman Bahattin Düzgün stated that they have become very saddened by the recent news of martyrs and wounded soldiers in the fight against the PKK terrorist organization in Eastern and Southeastern Turkey. Noting that police and soldiers are being martyred as a result of the detonation of booby-trapped improvised explosive devices, Düzgün said, “We thought about what we could do in response. We integrated our analog proportional joystick remote control, which we developed using our 10 years of expertise and have been using for the last 4-5 years, into our mini unmanned vehicle for use by our soldiers and police.”.
“Thanks to the camera on it, the interior of the building and the route can be easily monitored. With the military equipment that will be placed on it, it can be used to deal with improvised explosive devices and terrorist organization members, and to evacuate the wounded from the area. Our remote control allows us to control the device from 300 meters to 1 kilometer. We made our device with an electric motor for silent operation. It has a 360-degree rotating track. It also has a barrel that can move at a 48-degree angle,” he explained.
