Pardus has released a special 100th anniversary edition prepared to honor the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye.
This release stands out as a step highlighting Türkiye's independent software development capabilities and technological independence. Pardus 23 comes with useful new applications such as the Pardus GNOME welcomer, XFCE fine-tuning, Pardus updater, and more. The release was developed by TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM. The 100th anniversary release was made available on October 28th, following the release of the Pardus 23 'Ay Yıldız' version on August 30th.


Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır stated that the "Pardus 23" version of the national operating system, specially designed for the 100th anniversary of the Republic, not only offers users a modern operating system experience but also demonstrates the country's contribution to technological development. Noting that the version was developed to strengthen Türkiye's role in the information technology scene and reflect its national identity, Kacır commented, "It not only offers users a modern operating system experience but also demonstrates the country's contribution to technological development.".
