Celebrations of the 100th Anniversary of the Republic: The 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey is being celebrated all across Türkiye.

The celebrations for the 100th anniversary of our Republic have begun with great enthusiasm. Exactly 100 years have passed since the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye declared the Republic on October 29, 1923.

This special day is celebrated all over the country. As Yuzde100yerli.com, we share in this enthusiasm and commemorate with respect and gratitude our leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and all his comrades-in-arms who gifted us the Republic of Turkey, whose 100th anniversary we are celebrating.

As part of the celebrations for the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey, events are being held throughout the country. Some of these celebrations include: In Silopi, a torchlight procession was held with the participation of the district protocol. The procession featured a 300-meter Turkish flag, motorcycle police, and a lantern parade. In Sivas, a march was organized with the participation of Governor Yılmaz Şimşek, AK Party Sivas Member of Parliament Rukiye Toy, Sivas Deputy Mayor Turan Topgül, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Colonel Muhammet Sevinç, and approximately 3,000 citizens. The march, accompanied by Turkish flags, included the singing of national anthems. In İzmir, as part of the 100th anniversary celebrations of the Republic, a Turkish flag, woven by the people of Kemalpaşa, was completed and presented to Governor Süleyman Elban. Additionally, at a ceremony held in front of the Governor's office, students created a map of Turkey through choreography. In Ankara, the 100th anniversary of the Republic is also being celebrated with various concerts and events. Athena, Zeynep Bastık, Hadise, and Selçuk Balcı are among the artists performing at the special events marking the 100th anniversary of the Republic, and many more artists will take the stage on Sunday, October 29, 2023.

The Presidential Communications Directorate announced the events to be held for the 100th anniversary of the Republic. The events will include digital exhibitions, light and water shows. The biggest visual spectacle will take place in the Bosphorus. Furthermore, a parade of 100 warships will be held in the Bosphorus today to mark the 100th anniversary of the Republic. The Ministry of National Defense, through its social media accounts, invited all citizens to the Bosphorus for this magnificent parade.

The Turkish Stars and Solo Türk will perform air shows in the Bosphorus.

SOLOTÜRK will also perform demonstration flights in Istanbul and Ankara on October 29th. To celebrate the 100th anniversary of our Republic with enthusiasm, pride, and respect, SOLOTÜRK will perform a demonstration flight in Istanbul on October 29th. The Turkish Stars will perform a demonstration flight over the Bosphorus at 16:20. (October 29th SOLOTÜRK demonstration) In Ankara at 13:00, It will fly over the Istanbul Strait at 16:40.

When will the parade involving 100 warships in the Istanbul Strait begin?

For this special parade, the TCG Anadolu ship has anchored at Sarayburnu. The parade will take place in the Istanbul Strait with 100 ships. The parade is at 5:00 PM. It will start and can be followed along the entire strait.

What time are the Bosphorus Show, Light Shows (Fireworks Display)?

As part of the 100th anniversary celebrations of Republic Day on October 29th, a parade and light shows will be held in the Istanbul Strait. These shows and parades will include 100 warships passing through the strait, a 101-gun salute, and a flyover by 20 fighter jets. Drones will also be seen in the strait on October 29th., The fireworks and light show will take place between 7:50 PM and 8:15 PM.
