Ismail Demir, the head of the Defense Industry, announced on his social media account that the 57th T129 ATAK helicopter has been delivered to the Land Forces Command.

Within the scope of the ATAK Program, a total of 91 T129 ATAK helicopters will be delivered to the Turkish Land Forces (59 firm orders and 32 options), and a total of 27 helicopters will be delivered to the Ministry of Interior (24 firm orders and 3 options).

Close air support designed for tasks and multi-purpose tasks The T129 ATAK, with its heavy weapons load, is optimized for challenging "hot weather-high altitude" missions. For close air support missions, the T129 ATAK is equipped with up to 76 70 mm unguided rockets and a 20 mm cannon with a 500-round ammunition capacity.
