One thousand horsepower UTKU engine to be used in Fırtına howitzers started up

The 1000 horsepower UTKU engine, which is planned to be used as the engine for the Fırtına howitzers developed within the scope of Türkiye's power unit development efforts, was successfully started up.

The first 1000 horsepower engine and the first cross-drive transmission, UTKU, developed by BMC Power for tracked light armored combat vehicles up to 45 tons and the Fırtına Howitzer, were successfully commissioned.
