Associate Professor Dr. Önder Çelik from Turgut Özal Medical Center stated that they have developed the first domestically produced intrauterine device that prevents pregnancy by generating a magnetic field. Developed at İnönü University's Turgut Özal Medical Center, the device prevents sperm and eggs from meeting by generating a magnetic field, thus halting pregnancy. Associate Professor Dr. Önder Çelik, a faculty member of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, stated that the device, which has been tested in laboratory settings and on animals, has been successful and could be used in women after the necessary phase studies are completed.
