Two army buddies whose paths crossed in Italy have obtained the patent for Türkiye's first domestically produced tower crane in Düzce and started production. TGM General Manager Mithat Doğan stated that after completing his military service in Iğdır, he went to Italy to find work, and for 12 years he worked as an "assembly technician" in a tower crane factory. Explaining that they turned to foreign sources because there was no tower crane factory in Türkiye, Doğan said, "Our other general manager, Abdurrahman Karademir, was my army friend in Iğdır. After military service, we decided to expand our business together in Italy. In Italy, we were talking about 'What can we do together?' As a result of our research, we said 'Let's do this' and decided to bring the factory to Türkiye.".
