Derindere Motorlu Araçlar (DMA), a company operating within the TÜ ARI Technopark, produced a 100% electric, domestically manufactured minibus in collaboration with Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ). The minibus was tested at a ceremony held on Thursday, September 18, 2014, at the İTÜ Ayazağa Campus.
With this study, ITU has achieved a second first in Türkiye in the field of electric vehicles. Having previously built Türkiye's first electric minibus at its Mechatronics Education and Research Center, ITU has now developed an electric minibus capable of traveling the longest distance on a single charge. Furthermore, by using this vehicle in its campus shuttle services, it will both achieve another first and take on a pioneering role.
