ASELSAN will develop a new generation, portable robot for the General Directorate of Security as part of the "Bomb Disposal Robot Project." The contracts for the $20.1 million project were signed at a ceremony.
ASELSAN's KAPLAN Bomb Disposal Robots, produced for the Turkish Police, are successfully serving throughout the country. The name of the next-generation robot, which will be further developed and initially produced in a quantity of 100, will be given by the user authority.
The Bomb Disposal Robots to be produced by ASELSAN are a new generation product family equipped with state-of-the-art technology. They feature a highly mobile and robust vehicle platform, allowing for easy integration of various mission-specific payloads, adjustable autonomy levels, and remote control via a modular control console. Thanks to the robots' flexible architecture, which complies with international interoperability standards, new mission scenarios and payloads can be easily integrated into the vehicles.
