TUSAŞ has begun prototype assembly activities for HÜRJET, which is being developed as a jet training aircraft for the Turkish Air Force.
The HÜRJET Jet Training Aircraft, initially planned to have two prototypes for flight testing and one for ground and endurance testing, is scheduled to be rolled out of the hangar and begin testing by the end of this year. HÜRJET is attracting significant interest from abroad due to being the youngest aircraft in its training aircraft class. While its avionics systems have been developed using state-of-the-art technology with national resources, its engine is planned to be sourced from abroad.
