Baykar Defense shared the first images of its Combat Unmanned Aircraft System, which is set to change the future of warfare, on its social media account.

The Combat Unmanned Aircraft System, whose first prototype is planned to fly in 2023, is initially designed to fly at subsonic speeds. Designed to have a low radar cross-section, the aircraft will have the capacity to carry ammunition in stealth within the fuselage and, in situations where stealth is not required, in weapon pods located on the wings. It will be able to carry a payload of 1.5 tons. The winglets located in the nose of the Combat Unmanned Aircraft System are intended to effectively utilize the maneuverability advantage provided by unmanned flight. Following the successful flight of the first prototype, the production of advanced versions of the Combat Unmanned Aircraft System capable of flying at supersonic speeds is planned.

Another important announcement made by Baykar Defense was that the Combat Unmanned Aircraft System will be able to operate alongside the TB3s on the TCG Anadolu ship. With the deployment of the TB3 and the Combat Unmanned Aircraft System, the TCG Anadolu will transform into a light-class aircraft carrier capable of conducting air operations with unmanned aerial vehicles flying at supersonic and subsonic speeds.
