Turkish defense and technology company STM announced on its social media account that KARGU, Türkiye's first and only domestically produced rotary-wing attack UAV, also used by the Turkish Armed Forces, has achieved export success.
What is the KARGU Kamikaze UAV?
KARGU is a portable, rotary-winged, domestically produced attack UAV solution that can be carried by a single soldier and has the capability to detect and destroy targets both within and beyond visual range.
The KARGU platform is capable of fully autonomous navigation via its mission computer and of effectively and accurately destroying fixed or moving targets detected by the operator in the mission area. The system operates entirely under operator control using the "Man-in-the-Loop" principle.
The system consists of two components: a "Striking UAV Platform (SAV)" and a "Ground Control Unit".
The KARGU system is reusable thanks to its mission cancellation and return-to-base functions. The system is capable of operating day and night using electro-optical and infrared cameras.
