Doruk Electra, Türkiye's first electric bus, designed entirely by Otokar, is touring campuses.
Doruk Electra, which started providing campus transportation services at Istanbul University on December 2nd, continued its services at Yıldız Technical University on December 9th. Having started transportation services at Istanbul Technical University on December 15th, Doruk Electra's campus journey will end on December 17th.
Although the Doruk Electra takes 6-8 hours to fully charge, its onboard charging unit allows for short recharging even while waiting at stops. Under ideal conditions, the Electra can travel 280 km on a full charge. In heavy city traffic and during peak hours, it offers a range of 170 kilometers, based on 80% battery capacity to preserve battery life.
