FNSS and the Philippines launch a new defense project.

FNSS will manufacture stabilized manned gun turrets for the Philippine Army.

FNSS will provide the Philippine Army with the production, integration, and logistical support services for stabilized manned gun turrets.

Under the contract signed between FNSS and the Philippine Department of Defense, which officially entered into force in August 2020, FNSS will provide the Philippine Army with the production, integration, and logistical support services for stabilized manned gun turrets.

The plan is for the towers to be mounted on the vehicles in October 2021 and for training and logistical support services to be completed by December 2021.

As part of the Philippine Army's modernization program, aimed at increasing and improving the firepower of existing tracked armored vehicles, manned turrets previously produced and sold to other countries will be manufactured using state-of-the-art day/night vision and fire control systems. These turrets, to be produced at FNSS facilities, will then be integrated into tracked armored vehicles by FNSS in the Philippines and delivered to the user. A portion of the acceptance tests will be conducted in Türkiye and another portion in the Philippines, with training activities carried out in the Philippines as part of integrated logistics support services.

Single-person manned turrets have been chosen by the Philippine Army, demonstrating their cost-effectiveness and superior technical specifications against products from leading global companies. FNSS continues to be the only company in the Turkish defense sector to export single-person stabilized turrets to the inventories of friendly and allied forces. The project will be implemented under the Defense Industry Cooperation Agreement between the governments of Turkey and the Philippines.
