The BORAN 105 mm Air-Transportable Light Towed Howitzer Fire Control System successfully completed its qualification tests with firings conducted in Konya/Karapınar.

What is the Boran Fire Control System?

The BORAN Fire Control System (FCS) is a fire control system developed for use in the 105 mm BORAN howitzer, a lightweight, high-firepower howitzer that can be air-transported by helicopter or towed by road.

This integrated system, which enables the howitzer's readiness for firing, fire management, and fire control operations to be carried out via computer, initial velocity measuring radar, and inertial navigation system, also has electro-optical and laser rangefinder units that allow for day/night visual firing. The system also provides digital integration of the howitzer with command and control systems and fire support elements.
