Türkiye's first domestically produced frigate, TCG ISTANBUL, achieved a major success. In a test conducted in cooperation with the Ministry of National Defence and ROKETSAN, the HİSAR-D RF missile was successfully fired from the National Vertical Launch System.
The National Radar detected it, the National Air Defense Missile HİSAR D RF was fired from the National Frigate TCG İstanbul using the National Vertical Launch System!
The successful launch of the HİSAR-D RF missile by TCG İSTANBUL has enabled the Turkish Navy to acquire vertical launch capability for the first time in its history. This achievement has gone down in history as a critical step in Türkiye's use of indigenous and national air defense systems to protect its maritime jurisdiction.
