The Estonian Defence Procurement Agency has selected Nurol Makina, one of the leading companies in the Turkish defense industry, in a tender for 4x4 armored vehicles needed by its security forces.
Nurol Makina will supply 100 NMS 4×4 (YÖRÜK) vehicles to Estonia.
Nurol Makina General Manager Engin Aykol stated that the contract was signed in Tallinn and the vehicles would be delivered within 18 months. Aykol said that Estonia plays an important role in United Nations and NATO missions, and supporting them in this area is a source of pride for both themselves and Turkey.
The NMS 4×4 (YÖRÜK) is an armored vehicle developed as a derivative of the EJDER YALÇIN, possessing high mobility and protection capabilities. With a capacity of 11 people, high torque, and horsepower, it is a suitable vehicle for convoy, rapid deployment, and reconnaissance missions.
Nurol Makina was the first Turkish company to export armored vehicles to Hungary, in addition to Estonia. Nurol Makina is also planning to expand into the European market by establishing a presence in the UK.

What features differentiate the NMS 4×4 (YÖRÜK) armored vehicle from other armored vehicles?
- Yörük is a Tactical Wheeled Armored Vehicle (TTZA) with a V-shaped monocoque body and a unique chassis. This design helps the vehicle provide high protection against mines and improvised explosive devices.
- Yörük offers higher speed and superior protection features compared to other vehicles in its segment. Its ability to carry heavy loads at a maximum cruising speed of 140 kilometers per hour allows for quick and flexible movement in operations.
- Yörük offers scalable ballistic protection from level 1 to 4. This allows the vehicle to adjust its protection level according to different threat levels.
- Thanks to its modular design, Yörük offers a wide range of uses in high-intensity conflict environments, including combat, personnel carrier, air defense, and reconnaissance operations. The ability to integrate different weapon systems into the vehicle makes it suitable for multi-purpose use.
- The Yörük armored vehicle's carrying capacity varies depending on the model. Previously capable of carrying up to 7 people, the Yörük 4X4 has reached a capacity of 11 people thanks to its extended wheelbase configuration. This provides the vehicle with greater flexibility and expanded interior space for different operational requirements.
