Roketsan has successfully tested LUMTAS-GM, an advanced version of the LUMTAS missile.

Roketsan has tested its new generation long-range anti-tank missile, LUMTAS-GM, for the first time.

Roketsan tested its new generation long-range anti-tank missile, LUMTAS-GM, for the first time at the 16th International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF) held in Istanbul.

LUMTAS-GM is an improved version of the UMTAS and L-UMTAS missiles, developed specifically for attack helicopters. Capable of being integrated into land, air, and sea platforms, the missile features dual seeker (IIR and SAL) and bidirectional RF data link capabilities.

The LUMTAS-GM Block-1, the version of the missile exhibited at IDEF 2023, is 1.72 meters long, has a diameter of 160 mm, and weighs 41.3 kg. The missile can be used with three different warhead options (tandem anti-tank, high-explosive fragmentation, or thermobaric) against land and sea targets at distances between 1 km and 16 km, and against air targets at distances between 1 km and 20 km.

Roketsan is also continuing development work on LUMTAS-GM Block-2, the second stage of LUMTAS-GM. This version will have a wider range of targets thanks to its hybrid seeker (IIR, SAL, and MMW) capability.
