Turkish designs received many awards in 2014.

The A'Design Award, one of the world's most comprehensive design competitions, held in Milan, Italy since 2010, has announced its winners this year as well.

In the competition, which saw over 12,000 entries from 208 countries internationally, a Turkish designer topped the list of winning designers. Dr. Hakan Gürsu, who in previous years led Türkiye to second place in the world rankings with his team, won 15 awards this year, retaining his title as the "Most Awarded Designer".

The "Steam" teapot, a steam-brewing kettle developed within Designnobis, a value-added product design center located in METU Technopark, was honored with the "Platinum Award" and selected as the best home appliance. In addition, the design team, which has collected awards in many different categories ranging from furniture and electronics to transportation and lighting, has achieved a record number of wins with a total of 46 awards in the last four years. Turkish design left its mark on the competition, which also saw awards from brands such as Vestel and Arçelik.
