Building upon the experience gained from the ANKA Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System, whose Block A configuration acceptance tests were completed in 2013, the “Next Generation High Performance ANKA Block B” successfully completed its first flight on January 30, 2015.
In the first flight with automatic takeoff and landing, tests of different autopilot and landing modes were completed without any issues. In addition to the EO/IR camera carried on the Block A aircraft, the system, capable of carrying a SAR/ISAR/GMTI radar, provides a significant infrastructure for next-generation integration projects with its payload capacity.
