The factory, jointly established by ASELSAN and the King Abdullah II Design & Development Bureau (KADDB) Investment Group (KIG), which will produce border security equipment for the Jordanian Armed Forces and other countries in the region, was inaugurated by King Abdullah II of Jordan.
Aselsan Middle East's state-of-the-art factory in Jordan's KADDB Industrial Park utilizes technology transferred from Türkiye and is operated by Jordanian technicians and engineers. The factory houses production and testing lines for night vision and thermal imaging devices, an environmental conditions laboratory, a measurement and calibration laboratory, and a material storage and packaging line. The establishment of an electronic circuit board production and testing line is planned for the first half of 2015.
Initially, the company began producing Monocular Night Vision Devices, Night Vision Weapon Scopes, and Anti-Tank Thermal Sights. The company also manufactured the SAGER Thermal Imaging System, a unique system designed specifically for the Jordanian Armed Forces, and has even signed its first export agreement.
