ASELSAT 3U, a cube satellite developed by Aselsan in collaboration with Istanbul Technical University as part of a university-industry partnership, was launched into orbit today aboard a SpaceX rocket.
Developed for scientific purposes through university-industry collaboration using domestic resources by Aselsan and Istanbul Technical University, the ASELSAT 3U CubeSat will transmit images obtained with its camera payload to the ground station and collect statistical data about the space environment with its digital card payload.

The X-Band Transmitter, developed by ASELSAN, is intended to be integrated into a 3U cube satellite platform and sent into space for documentation purposes.
Images captured by the high-resolution camera on board the CubeSat will be transmitted to the ground station via the X-Band Transmitter. Additionally, radiation data from the low-orbit environment will be collected via a radiation dosimeter on board the CubeSat to provide feedback for design activities.
