The Head of the Turkish Presidency's Defence Industry Directorate, Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, met with Hungarian Defence Minister Kristof Szalay-Bobrovniczky and signed a memorandum of understanding to develop cooperation in the field of defence industry.
The signing ceremony coincided with the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Hungary. In a statement made on this occasion, Görgün noted that thanks to the vision and efforts of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Türkiye has become a strong country internationally and has achieved significant successes in the defense industry.
Görgün stated that the agreement signed with Hungary would be beneficial for both countries and that they would develop joint projects in the defense industry. Hungarian Defense Minister Szalay-Bobrovniczky also said that they wanted to benefit from Türkiye's experience and capabilities in the defense industry and would work to increase cooperation.
Presidential Defence Industry Head Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün shared these developments on his social media account with the message, "We continue to strengthen our international collaborations in a manner befitting the #Turkish Century.".

Görgün is the former chairman and general manager of ASELSAN. He currently serves as the President of the Presidency of Defence Industries. Görgün is an electrical engineer and academician known for his contributions to the defense industry.
