The mid-fuselage, produced by TUSAŞ within the scope of the F-35 program, has made its first flight.

The first "Mid-Fuselage" aircraft delivered by TUSAŞ was completed at the final assembly line in the USA and entered service.

JSF/F-35 Programı kapsamında, üretimi TUSAŞ-Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii A.Ş.’de gerçekleştirilen ve müşterileri olan Northrop Grumman ile Lockheed Martin’e, 11 Aralık 2013 tarihinde düzenlenen törenle teslim edilen ilk “Orta Gövde”den oluşan uçak, ABD’ndeki nihai montaj hattında tamamlanarak, Şubat 2015’de hizmete girdi.

Halen ABD dışında tek kaynak olarak üretim yapan TUSAŞ’ın JSF/F-35 Orta Gövde üretim faaliyetleri, Türk uçaklarının Orta Gövde’lerinin üretimleri de dahil olmak üzere, 2030’lu yıllara kadar devam edecek.
