The mid-fuselage, produced by TAI within the scope of the F-35 program, has made its first flight.

The first "Mid-Fuselage" aircraft delivered by TUSAŞ was completed at the final assembly line in the USA and entered service.

Within the scope of the JSF/F-35 Program, the first "Mid-Fuselage" aircraft, manufactured by TUSAŞ-Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. and delivered to its customers Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin in a ceremony held on December 11, 2013, was completed on the final assembly line in the USA and entered service in February 2015.

TUSAŞ, currently the sole source of production outside the US, will continue its JSF/F-35 mid-fuselage production activities, including the production of mid-fuselages for Turkish aircraft, until the 2030s.
