To mark the 100th anniversary of Naval Aviation, the "HÜRKUŞ" New Generation Basic Training Aircraft, designed by TUSAŞ engineers and manufactured by its technicians, and whose flight tests are successfully continuing, was showcased outside of TUSAŞ for the first time at the celebrations held at Cengiz Topel Naval Air Base Command between June 20-22, 2014.
The celebration ceremony, held on June 20, 2014, the day the event began, was attended by many civilian and military officials, including the Commander of the Naval Forces, Admiral Bülent Bostanoğlu.
HÜRKUŞ not only flew to the Kartepe Cengiz Topel Naval Air Base Command in Kocaeli, but also performed a flight demonstration on Sunday, June 22, 2014, which was watched with great admiration by the participants. During the demonstration flight, HÜRKUŞ was accompanied by the S-2E/T Test Aircraft, which had also performed a solo flight demonstration on Saturday, June 21, 2014.
