Roketsan has completed the production of the first batch of its 302 mm Kasırga Missile and Weapon System, developed entirely with domestic resources and used against ground targets, and delivered it to the Turkish Armed Forces.
At the handover ceremony held at Roketsan facilities on November 18, 2016, with the participation of the Minister of National Defence, Mr. Fikri IŞIK; the Launch Vehicle, Transport-Loading Vehicle, Command Vehicle and 302 mm Missiles were handed over by Roketsan General Manager Selçuk YAŞAR to the Commander of the 58th Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General Aykut TONBUL.
Designed, developed, and manufactured by Roketsan using national resources and capabilities, the 302 mm Missile and Weapon System possesses the ability to engage critical point targets at distances ranging from 30 km to 120 km with intense and effective fire, thanks to its high accuracy and destructive power. With these superior features, it will provide excellent fire support to maneuvering units by delivering timely, accurate, and high firepower.
