The armed version of the HÜRKUŞ New Generation Basic Training Aircraft, developed entirely with national resources by TAI, successfully hit its target in test firings using the LUMTAS missile produced by ROKETSAN.
The New Generation Basic Training Aircraft (HÜRKUŞ) Development Program came into effect with the agreement signed between the Undersecretariat of Defence Industry and TUSAŞ in March 2006. The HÜRKUŞ training aircraft, capable of operating day and night, will be used for familiarization, visual flight, instrument flight, navigation, night flight, and formation flight training.
