Türkiye's indigenous Rubidium Atomic Clock RAFS has been launched into space aboard SpaceX's Transporter-17 mission. Developed under the leadership of TUA, with TÜBİTAK UME as prime contractor, the clock is of critical importance for the Regional Positioning System.

Bayraktar KIZILELMA achieved a direct hit at a range of 120 kilometres using the ROKETSAN-built JET-230 supersonic missile. The ROKETSAN JET-230 ballistic supersonic missile has been announced as having a range exceeding 200 kilometres.

Türkiye's first indigenous communications satellite, TÜRKSAT 6A, has been operating in orbit for two years since its launch on 9 July 2024. The engineering expertise acquired will form the foundation for TÜRKSAT 7A.

The Ministry of Industry and Technology has announced the HIT-30 programme. Defence technologies will receive $5 billion, with substantial budgets allocated for electric vehicles, chips, batteries, quantum technologies and robotics. Tax incentives of up to 60%, grants of up to 20% and public procurement guarantees will be offered.

Türkiye signed agreements at the NATO Defence Industry Forum in the fields of strike capabilities, air defence, space, critical raw materials and UAV superiority. ASELSAN, ROKETSAN, STM and TÜBİTAK will act as contractors.

ROKETSAN has integrated a seeker head onto the TAYFUN ballistic missile for the first time. In a test conducted with the Block-3 variant, the missile struck a moving target with pinpoint accuracy. This capability, possessed by only a handful of countries worldwide, was employed for the first time in Türkiye.

ROKETSAN's SUNGUR Air Defence Missile System successfully destroyed its target with a direct hit during a live-fire test. Haluk Görgün: "We are reinforcing our layered air defence architecture with new capabilities."

The decision to stay the payment demand of 230 million Romanian Lei against Otokar in Romania has been finalised. The appeals court ruled in Otokar's favour, rejecting C.N. Romtehnica S.A.'s objection.

Defence and aerospace exports reached $802.8 million in June, a 29.6 per cent increase, while over the past 12 months they surpassed the $11 billion mark for the first time. In the first half of the year, total exports amounted to $4.7 billion.

Togg posted its best performance of the year in June 2026 with 4,503 units sold. While the electric vehicle market contracted by 42 per cent, Tesla remained at 398 units and BYD at 68 units. The SCT threshold adjustment hit imported brands hard.

TÜBİTAK UZAY has held critical meetings in Malaysia regarding satellite technologies. The transfer of TÜRKSAT 6A expertise to meet Malaysia's communications satellite needs, as well as opportunities for joint Earth observation satellite development, were evaluated.

AKINROBOTICS has unveiled its humanoid robot AKINCI-5. The robot's fluid gait drew attention in the shared video. Full design and technical specifications have not yet been disclosed.
